Perdido Bay Blues

Jacqueline Lane

This historical account tells the tale of a long-term effort by the author and other citizens living on Perdido Bay in Northwest Florida and their attempt to rescue that bay from the ravages of paper mill pollution.  The story spas the presidencies of Clinton, Bush and Obama and show how the environmental policies of both state and federal governments thwarted the endeavor.  It also shows how powerful economic interests shew environmental decisions ad attempt to cover up environmental damages.  the cover-up includes slanted science, fake toxic algae blooms, lost data, and other malfeasance.  This story provides the reader with insight into how environmental regulations work or do not work.  the book is a case study and written from the author's point of view describing her involvement in 30 years of lawsuits and court battles.
