Jack Cathcart

Jack Cathcart was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. He attended North Fulton High School and later graduated from the University of Georgia where he received a degree in business and accounting. While in the Air Force during the Korean War, he met Johnnie Lowery and they were married in 1953. He returned to Atlanta and initially worked with a certified public accounting firm but later moved to the savings and loan industry where he spent the next thirty-four years. After retirement Jack and Johnnie moved to northwest Florida where they now reside. Through the years they have been active and dedicated members of the United Methodist Church. Their two children, their spouses and five grandchildren have richly blessed their lives.

For a long time Jack wanted to write a novel, but it was not till after his retirement that he found time to concentrate on putting words to paper and watching the story unfold. His first novel, Angels Singing, Bells A-Ringing, is a Christian/fiction novel and was published in the spring of 2006. His second novel, The Legacy of Laughton Island, is also fiction and will be published by the end of 2007.
